Magnaflow catalytic convertor exhaust gasket

I recieved my new Magnaflow 22642 Cat in the mail, along with two gaskets I ordered not knowing whether or not they came in the box. Well, it did come with a ring style gasket for the end of convertor, to be used in the recessed cut out. I'm sure I would be alright using either style, but my question is could I use them both together, thinking that the ring would compress and close the gap?

I'd go for both. The gasket will crush enough to close it up.

Yeah, it compressed nicely. No exhaust leaks.

i got mines replaced with the same one and that's what my mechanic did. So you're good.

I like that Cat. Btw, did the missing oxygen sensor throw a code at you?
And would this affect the emissions test ? I have an i4 for reference.

The o2 sensor is on the other side...
