I know Brimstone Brown has a complete bezel with the climate control unit in it hit him up, I'm pretty sure he would part it out. Heres his fs thread
Or like cfox28 said re paint it with some transparent paint here's my little taillights DIY thread in there I've got pics of all the transparent colors I found at a hobby shop.

Just a update for those wandering...

Got all the buttons except for the ac button and the dial covers with the part number above.

The dials do have a film on them to keep them from scratching up but I will update on here after I install to let you know if these are direct fit and all.

My temperature knob looks the same. Where did you find for under $10 shipped? Places I've found have shipping alone that's more!

I realize it's not the right year for my car but considering the price listed for my car, it's worth the risk. The two backing pieces (temp and fan) are over $40 alone...there must be something wrong with the listing. But on all Honda parts stores, it's the same.

Yeah I just tried to look it up just now and it was still 44.?? for the (display) part number 79602-S84-A21 On mine its the (Knob) and the display together but i see on the 01 it's different:
01 ac heater control knob and display

I would contact www.curryacuraparts.com and ask about that part number and see if the 79601-s84-a21 will have the display as well because that seems more reasonable. Also Advise them that the 98-00 have the buttons and the dials included for 8.50 where just for the dials aka stickers are 44.00 on the 01-02

I might just assume that it's packaged the same for my year and buy the "knob" set; the part listed as "knob" is the exact same price. Worst case, I'll get the one for your year. I can't imagine that a couple of years later, the two plastic circles cost that much more. I can attest to the fact they wear just as easily!

Thanks! I will contact Curry and see what they say. Hopefully it's just an incorrectly marked diagram. It's something so simple but it is aggravating to look at; for under $10, it's certainly worth fixing. If it's really over $40, I'll live with it.

Yeah for forty bucks that's insane unless they are metal or something.
They Would probably last a lot longer if they were metal though.

Let me know what you find out I have a DIY up and I can include the part number for the 01-02 cars.
