Well, here we go. going to be molding a SiR-T bumper onto my OEM bumper to create my new front end. This is gonna be more difficult than my molded WW bumper/lip project. This is going to involve lots of cutting, extending, fiberglassing, molding to get it perfect.

right off the bat i can clearly see that the SiR-T is significantly smaller than the US 6gen. our cars are much wider from the looks of the bumper fitment.

just for ****s and giggles i tried to mount the bumper itself directly to the car, not even close. the bumper bar keeps me from raising the bumper anymore than what you see here.

OEM bumper hacked off:

lining it up again just to get a better look:

now the part that almost brought a tear to my eye, cutting the expensive *** SiR-T bumper.

from what i can see, im going to need to cut the SiR-T portion in half down the center and widen it by a good 3-4 inches to get things to line up the way i want. and then extend the ends of the bumper by about 2 inches. and then fill the gaps with a significant amount of fiberglass to make it strong again.

ooooo the shyt i get myself into sometimes.

Are you innovating again? C'mon, we talked about this...

Ha, gonna be sweet. If the other stuff could be done, so can this.

It'll be nice to see the CF4 fogs actually stay in the OEM bumper on our cars for once.

The wheel arch curve on the SIR-T bumper looks ever so slightly more pronounced than on the Coupe bumper, or is that just me?

Pretty sure the sir t has flared fenders, that could be why. That might also be why the whole bumper is narrower than the coupes

Yes, they are flared, and the car in general is narrower than ours, which is why the front clips fit better on a CB than a CG.

The lower grill will be the hard part to expand, unless the plan is to go with a completely different matterial as an insert.

I thought I tackled a big project by cutting up the WW w type kit for the sedan and making it fit my coupe haha. Interested to see how this turns out.
