A lot of people are worried about adding more horspower but what they really want is more torque..you know the thing that straps you against your seat when you slam the gas pedal. Don't get me wrong horsepower does aswell but its more of a delay.takes lil time while u speed up.Anyways I know more torque ( also horspower) is added by more oxygen flow to the engine..meaning bigger exhausts , CAI, headers, Turbo/Super chargers. But was wondering if anyone had any ideas on some other mods they did that they felt a increase of both torque and HP..thanks a lot guys :)

It is really almost impossible to get more torque from these engines without major mods. The thing that gives and engine a lot of torque is the stroke of the piston(and number of pistons) and our engines just don't have that much of a stroke in the revolution. FI is really all you can do to get noticable gains, that is assuming you have a four cylindre.

^truf.

intake, header(s), exhaust doesn't do much. if you want power, turbo/supercharge or upgrade your internals or both. if you're auto, swapping your trans to a manual will release more of what you already have. Or do a motor swap if you have the munnay. Or both trans and motor.

Or you can look into something like this:

Or you can just put stickers on your car, we know that's the cheapest way for horsepower and torque. j/k

Adding exhaust, headers and CAI doesn't mean you'll get more torque, you actually lose a lot of low end power doing so.

there is no cheap way to get torque
to really feel power frm this/f23 motor u need to build on the head
port matching, cam haha only 1
nd build the bottom end new pistons, pretty much building a fully built engine.
going turbo is the easyest way to achieve relatively big #s on stock internal too as long as the motor is in decent condition

Might aswell add subs cause that adds horsepower too hahah :p

And yea your right you can lose power, I just wanna find a way to put some good mods..NOT a turbo/ supercharger for the f23 without having to do engine swap or take it apart completely cause its my everyday driver. Any tips would help.

Piston size along with stroke are more involved, than just the number of cylinders.
