Whats up guys i have an 02 v6 sedan. I just graduated from high school and have always had an accord 91, 94, and 02. The 02 I have now drives very differently meaning that control wise. I am going to major is storm spotting and i go out and chase a couple storms up here in northern colorado every now and then. Today i was out on a chase on a dirt road and when i would take a corner it seemed like the back end just wants to slide out from under it. Is this normal in the v6 cause my other accords never did this?

what tires do you have and what type of tread is left on them....

there are like a ton of factors that can be at play...not only the car but the surface you are on...your driving style etc etc

I would say practice, practice, practice.

It could be simply weight transfer oversteer.
A lot of times, when the rear begins to loses grip, our first reaction is to either countersteer and/or let go of the gas pedal quickly then brake. This causes weight to transfer to the outside front tire, lightening the rear inside tire, and the vehicle snaps right from under you.

If you're planning to chase storms and driving, I would suggest some stunt driving schools, rallycross events or autocross. Get friendly and cozy with your car...your life may depend on it. (ok, that seem drastic.....just familiarize the handling characteristics of your car and how you respond to them)

+1 for Subaru in Colorado. +1 for your tires being the main suspect.
