I just wanted to share with everyone that I got my first system ever. A while back I was skeptical about getting a system because I didnt see the point in getting all of that bass and weight for such an expensive amount, it just seemed ridiculous to me. But recently, I had been wanting more bass and something that just pounds. So I made the decision of buying my first system ever.

I caught a sick deal on ebay believe it or not for 2 MTX 12" Subwoofers in a box with an Amplifier for $260 !!! I couldnt believe it and had to jump on it quick. So I did, and had to buy a wiring kit which was $40 and had my friend from work install it (professional-like job) and wire tucked and just set up so nicely for $40!

As soon as it was hooked up and I played some songs I was baffled, I could not believe how much bass I had, just for 600 watts! Its incredible and I love it! Just thought I would share it with you all!

Here are some pics!

When I took these pictures I thought of how small the box looks in my trunk, so maybe one day I'll go bigger? lol!

Just a few things that annoy me though..
1. I dont have trunk rattle, well I do but its normal, not excessive. What rattles insanely is my bumper! How do I fix that??
2. The lights above my rear view mirror vibrate like crazy! Before I wedged paper in between the ceiling and lights, it shook so much that I had dirt fall down from underneath it! Is there anyway to tighten down the lights?
3. My rear brake light shakes violently on certain songs. Is there anyway to tighten this down?

The only thing left besides those problems is that I have to raise the rear of my car up because I rub the tab where the bumper connects to the fender. It sucks when you add an extra 63 lbs. of weight in the rear, cause it also slows me down for acceleration :/

Wow man my box+sub+amp+batt is 150+ lbs and I dont have any problems except for rollin cali style. Port those to fill up more room in your trunk... my 15 fills the whole thing

Oh and btw yours cant vibrate too bad since you still have a rearview mirror :p

^^^ Fi Audio and you post one dark pic? :eekwtf: Post more pics or BAN! lol jk

Wow that looks awesome for your first system. Try getting some sort of foam vibration dampening mat, like from Second Skin Audio, and wedging it between the rattling parts. Make sure it is closed cell foam so it doesn't absorb moisture. The rear bumper can be cleaned and sprayed with a liquid dampener. It's not cheap but well worth it IMO.

FYI if you make your box TOO BIG it will limit how much will be able to pass through to your cabin. Unless you face it to the front/up/side or glass and port it somehow.

Haha its one of the only two pics I have and the other is no better. This box is just the right size to let it all pass through. Ive had it facing forward and like this and its louder this way

Oh and greddy your first system is way better than mine was lol, I had this setup from best buy for 130 bucks it was 2 12" dual audio subs in a piece of junk bandpass box and a "600" watt amp. It all goes downhill from here as you get more addicted to volume lol.

DAMN! if my system weighed 150 lbs I wouldnt put it in ym car, thats just too much.

whats a ported box?? and where can I find this foam, you guys speak of?

remember Im a n00b when it comes to systems. I dont think Ill become more addicted to it, I like how much Im pushin right now, I can feel it in my throat and people hear me from down the block so I think Im ok, lol.

I dont want a box too big, because Im a delivery driver and even if I wasnt, if I wanted to put somethin big in my trunk or alot of stuff in my trunk, I wouldnt be able to. this is partially the reason why I was skeptical about getting it..

thanks for the comments :D

Greddy it will be louder but it would get lower facing sub a and port to rear because you would be pre loading the frequency. It's all preference anyways. I bet your trunk doesn't rattle as much facing forward too huh?

2300w rms to a DD9512 being installed next week. :chucklesfawk:
