my first ticket! YAY

this morning at like 730 on the way to school, i was crossing pine ridge road on livingston and there was a cop sitting about 200 feet north of pine ridge road on livingston facing north and noone was around to call cars in from another angle, and he claims i ran a red light when i am 99% sure it was yellow when i was in the intersection. 180.50 dollar ticket. is there any way anyone knows of that i can get that footage from the traffic camera to see it before i take it to court, because i dont wanna get ****ed with the losing penalty if i actually did run the red. anyways, he also wrote it happened at "livingston rd at airport", and since there no airport near there or if he meant airport road, hes definatly wrong also. will this help me get out of it? i wouldnt be so pissed about a ticket if i felt i deserved it, but this is bull.

take em to court, then have it rescheduled due to emergency, do it 1 more time. odds of the cop showing up then would be slim

Damn that sucks. For court cases I'm not sure b/c when I got caught going 31 over (yes it was a bad choice) I only got a $85 ticket but had a lawyer go for me instead when the trial was going on during school.

if there's a camera on top of the lights, then it's possible but i'm sure they won't release those photos to you. but you can go to court and get it off your record by going to driving school. that what happen to my little sister.

i heard once in the news, that there's a company that finds that mistakes written on the tickets and they can get it dismissed, and i think you paid them half the price of the ticket for their service.

If that light turns red anytime before your across the intersection or whatever it may be it's considered running a red light. Also if that office wrote down the wrong plate number, VIN number, wrong name or even wrong color of the car the ticket is supposed to be thrown out. I've gotten so many thrown out from cops writing the wrong information on tickets.

Yeah, shaved is right. If it turns red while you are still in the intersection, it's running a red light. I'm not sure from your post if it was yellow when you crossed the limit line or when you where totally though. As for getting anything from the camera, you're going to be out of luck there.

As for the wrong intersection, something like that won't fly out here. The judge knows its a technicality. This is from friends experiences, i've never been to traffic court. You can try but i know my friends have pissed of a few judges this way.
