UPDATE 12

I know what you're all thinking, it's done, right ??? I wish ... I think I should re title this thread to **** that can go wrong when modding a car that's older than 10 years !!!

As some of you may remember, the first obstacle I ran into when starting this swap/build was finding out that the only remaining 6 speed J32A2 motor clearing headers (made by XS Power) have been discontinued, luckily I was able to get a used set.

Then, after finding that 23.5" ground fender height and lowering subframe don't play well together, I've decided to go the J37 intake manifold route. This past week, I've been stressing myself trying to get the J32A2/J37 throttle body adapter to make everything fit. There was only one problem, that adapter was manufactured by P2R, and P2R's number has been disconnected :( Further attempts at communication by email and facebook were also unsuccessful :(

Calling around, my mechanic and I found out that the guy who runs P2R has closed shop and has started a new company WTF !!! Anyways, I won't bore you any longer, we finally found a place that was able to secure the adapter, and the two gaskets. Got everything ordered, should be arriving next week. Fingers crossed, this is the last hiccup.

I was so happy that came upon this J37 manifold information recently. Do you mind sharing where you were able to order the parts?

**EDIT** P2R Facebook page shows that they are in the process of moving shops, but parts are still available through [email protected] if anyone is interested.

Ha Ha ... That's too funny, I wonder if it was our harassment that prompted that Facebook page update.

UPDATE 13

Got a confirmation number for my P2R parts ... they're arriving by snail mail (USPS). Dropped by to find the guys at Defcon Racing had already reprogrammed my key to the immobilizer :)

Snapped up a pick of her with the shift knob adapter and the RSX 6 speed shift knob.

Barring any unforeseeable circumstances, should be ready by next Friday :)

Sounds awesome, hope everything get worked out for you. This may be a bit late, but what motor mounts did you decide to go with? I have seen that the Excelerate mounts are beefier, but most swaps go with the Innovate accord mounts. I plan on using the accord innovative mounts and the accord rear bracket to allow my auto CT headers to be reused.

Thanks ... Innovative mounts are the norm. In the end, we decided to go with new OEM Honda mounts. I can't recall why ... I'll check and let you know.

OEM mounts aren't as stiff as the Innovative ones, so that means you won't feel the vibrations at idle in the cabin as much.

you don't need those headers. reuse the engine bracket from your j30a1. I used regular innovative 65a engine mounts, j30a1 engine bracket, and obx j30 headers. they clear fine. btw i would invest in an ingalls stiffy torque dampener if you like your axles.

Thanks Derek, that's exactly the reasoning Dave was using. In theory, the stiffer mounts should lead to less kinetic energy loss from the engine.
