the bulb was already busted for a year or so
So replace the bulb.

if you know what part im taking about, you know theres 2 clips that hold it in, one of those actually broke off completely from the bass. sounded like absolute **** when it was bouncing around

I do know what part your talking about. I also know that since 1986 federal law requires every vehicle made to have an operational 3rd brake light to pass inspections and be legally suited to be on the road.

However. I do understand annoying noises and wanting to get rid of them but not at the risk of something else you also want to keep. So I offer an alternative solution. Acquire an OEM spoiler with a built in 3rd brake light, and wire that brake light to the socket you are no longer using. That will not rattle against the window and make annoying noises when the bass is turned up. You now have the sound system you love. And are street legal.

Get an OEM replica one, the OEM one will be pretty pricey, unless you check a local scrap yard or car-part.com.

You can check various Accord Forum F/S threads as well, just in case.

Of course, craigslist is an option as well.

my components up front are loud as hell and i can still hear the lyrics over the beat. no mids though, need a new amp/better components for that though haha. i love ridiculous bass like that, but i turn it down in neighborhoods and stoplights, because **** those people
