out of complete curiosity. why's it such a big deal if someone who does not have enough posts is selling parts?

The rule is there to prevent anyone coming here for the sole purpose of selling things.
That's what Craigslist and Ebay are for.
This is a site for car enthusiasts who basically have one thing in common; their 6th gen accord.
Also the 50 posts/1 month rule is to protect the other (older) members here from any type of scam or something.
If you're here for the requested time, making constructive posts, and make a FS thread, other members will feel less skeptical about buying from you because of your history and previous posts.
