damn your sis abused that poor thing. good to see its in good hands. Nice work so far and no your not a noob half the guys ( including me) would just have shop do those repairs cause we couldnt do it ourselves. Keep up the good work, once you get it back looking good stock, then the real fun starts. keep it up.

I'm kinda new here so if this thread isn't suppose to be here, please mod/admin move it to the correct space. Thanks.

Let me start off that, my primary vehicle is a Toyota 4Runner but with a small agreement with my little sister, i also drive a 99 Honda Accord. My older sister handed down this vehicle about few weeks ago and let me say that, it's not in the right place right now. So this will be a worklog i'll be doing for this Accord. Basically, just some minor repairs, appearance designs, but mostly detail photograph. So here i am joining the 6th Gen Accord group!

DSCF0001.jpg

This is the car when i first got it. The hood has a minor bent upwards plus a tow hitch crack on the bumper due to hitting this SUV.

DSCF0002.jpg

Here's a close-up of the tow hitch crack my older sister did. :(

DSCF0003.jpg

And here is the hood not closing all the way. Which will be fixed.

DSCF0004.jpg

Here is the dent where my older sister hit the SUV rear bumper. Yes, that is rust on it. Don't know if i should paint it myself or bring it to the shop.

DSCF0005.jpg

The tail-lights was bought like this. Not sure why the red doesn't match so don't ask me. I plan to paint it red with Red stained glass spray from Michael's soon so i'll keep this updated.

DSCF0006.jpg

This is just a side angle of the car. I was photochopping to see how low i would like it to be. Also, you could see my black 4runner in the background. :D

DSCF0007.jpg

Here's the junk my older sister left.

DSCF0008.jpg

And another. I digg that shift knob though. Plan to get a shift boot to make it look 'manual transmission'. :p

DSCF0009.jpg

So the project begins here. I took the bumper off so i could fiberglass the crack piece. I used Bondo-Glass which is both bondo AND fiberglass together to fix the crack. I'll post some pictures when i sand them. You can also see the hood is now back to normal. The hood was very easy to bend back so i don't need to buy any new hood anymore. :D

DSCF0010.jpg

While it was still drying, i had some help from my friend to paint my headlights. Overall, i didn't really like it that much. It's basically white housing and that's about it. I know it's not "jdm" look so i might change it to something else when i get some extra money.

DSCF0011.jpg

With the lights on. I actually like how the corner lights reflector the white paint. Looks really nice but don't know if i should keep the headlights w/ white housing or not. But that's it for now with my repairs

DSCF0012.jpg

And here is some teasers of what i bought from some fellow 6thgenaccord.com members! Thanks for the great deal guys!

Tell me what you think overall. Good and bad comments are welcome but try to be easy on this noob.

i'll try to take some day-time pictures tomorrow. because i'm almost running out of time to go to work. plus, i was sanding the bondo-fiberglass the whole morning. unfortunately, it wasn't evenly flat so i had to add some more bondo. hopefully i could sand it and be finished by tonight. not sure how i'm going to paint it but most likely, i might have to paint the whole front bumper due to abusive scratches and rocks that peeled the paint. -_-

Apparently you know what you're doing so I'll probably be picking your brain later...:)
I hope that you're not planning on letting the sisters drive that after you're done.... looks like something my GF would do to her car.... then she'd say "so what? it's just a car. "

LOL! well, technically, it's my little sisters car so of course she will drive it. but somehow, she enjoys the black 4runner than the accord. LOL. she loves big cars i guess. i asked all my 'gal' friends if they would choose from the 99 Accord or the 97 4Runner. they all picked the 4runner! haha.

but my older sister recently bought a 95 GSR sedan. so now, she's enjoy driving a 'manual' car for once. hope she doesn't *whispers* wreck that car too.

I have to say that I love your oil cap. I have to know where you got that from. Way to boost that accords spirits. Get rid of those white housings. Really not feelin them but to each there own. Keep it up. Your doing way more body work than I ever have.
