theres all kinds of threads out there about camber.. but i thought i would ask this.. so i heard from someone on here (not putting name out there) that on the 6gen accords we do not need a CAMBER KIT that when we lower get a alignment and were good....? but how is that when people still have camber when slammed...
when he told me that.. just kind of confused me on this situation..

You can say my name lol it doesn't matter. 95% off the members on here will agree that you don't need one... The only reason I'm getting one is to add more negative camber for "stance" purposes :lawl:

oh well im just curious man!! dont take it personal!! just asking man! cause ive heard yes and no so thought i would make a good question out of it! but thats understandable! just dont take it personal!!

Yea, you don't need one. Lower the car, get an alignment...as long as your toe is good, the tires won't get eaten quickly. They will wear unevenly, such is the low life. Just flip the tires after a while and you'll get good use out of them.

Get alignment and get toe zeroed out all around.
Ask for spec sheet paper and look at your camber values.
If you do not like what you see, get one.
The rears camber much more then the front usually.
A camber kit in the front sometimes can be a bigger headache then a good thing.


It is not a yes or no question but it depends on each and everyone's application and preference.
Lastly, search around and you'll see hundreds of threads where peoples preference and reasons for getting or not getting one have already been discussed

technically you don't need one as long as you get an alignment and have your toe zeroed out. Your tires might wear out a little faster but I don't know if it makes a big enough difference to get the money back from the camber kit.

I installed them in the rear when I was once [-1] finger gap. Fronts are almost never needed unless you're really slammed.

You don't need a FRONT camber kit, you will need a rear most likely. Getting a front camber kit usually causes more problems such as slapping your strut tower.
If you want to be truly "slammed" you will probably need one but you will hit your strut towers and probably end up having to cut a hole in those.

i bought a camber kit only because my rear wheels are sunk and i wanted it to look closer to flush... which is really didnt make much difference

Exactly. I don't know if the quality of an average kit has gone up but I know that back in the day, most people I knew had more issues with their camber kit than it was worth.

Camber kits are not just used to correct negative camber. Higher end pieces are used to change camber (not correct it) for track use. Some use them to add camber.

It's not uncommon to have a bit of negative camber to improve handling. For many of us, we end up about where we would want to be anyway, further negating the cost of the kit, and more so alignments. The few shops I trust almost double in price when using an aftermarket camber kit. So doing it to correct negative camber to save tire life can cost you more in the end anyway.
