I have a 02 ex automatic with a ulev f23.. The motor has 137k miles on it.. unfortunately the motor is giving up.. So i plan on doing a swap.. Would like to do a f20b swap because its a decent price and because i want my car to run healthy.. Not doing it to race or try to kill myself. Lol but i need a tips from more people on this swap.. I already know the f20 goes on to the f23 transmission and it goes with the motor mounts.. I was also told that i can use my wire harness but i have to rewire the distributor.. I will appreciate tips/advice. Thank you

Pardon the mothering but I feel duty-bound to say that in some states it's illegal to put in engines older than the chassis and that there might be an immobilizer on stock ECU for that engine, and if it's Japanese I don't know if that'll pass an OBD inspection, if you need that where you are.

In New York, for our year car, rules are pretty leniant. When you get in to post 2006 is where things get hairy. As long as your car can pass an OBD2 inspection, you're all set here. Sorry, I do not have any further specifics on the swap. But good call, Sino nonetheless. But the issue may come up if you are ever not in New York.
