i agree with everyone -

keep the 6th gen. first of all, the cars are great. they are a pleasure to work on, and there are so many available parts that really arent that expensive, plus, there is soo much info on them nowadays. also, the 7th gens are heavy, and bloated. they have so much stuff i would remove in a heartbeat, and just feel too "modern" to properly build for any kind of speed. when i think of a 6th gen, i think of panels that can be easily pulled off, stuff being pretty stripped down and basic, and with 7th gens, i imagine a ton of sound deadening junk, and like, big padded panels, and a ton of useless wiring and electronics....

KEEP THE 6th GEN!!!

Drey, if you switch to 7th gen i will start a petition to ban you from TAC :smash: heehee

all kidding aside... ive started looking very closely at 7th gens too

only 1 problem... parts are more expensive and i agree that 7th gen's require more work on them to look aesthetically pleasing (in my eye anyway)

i wouldn't settle for anything else but the 6spd V6 though w/ the HFP kit... drove one a week ago and it's so nice

The V6/6spd is a real mofo, but the 7thGen's 2.4L/5spd isn't too bad either. The reviews I've seen have it going 0-60 in about 7.5s (completely stock). Not blazing speed, but the ones I've driven feel like they pull pretty hard.

I also say keep the 6th gen unless you are getting a six speed you want gain much as far as power is concerned. I chose my own 6th gen over the choice of a 7th gen because everyone has one plus I really think the 6th gens look better :squintwave:

We'll see what happens. I guess I'm one of the few that thinks the shape of the 7gen is attractive. I reason that the 6gen shape and curves are similar to the 90-93 accords. So the 2003-07 is the new age.
I still think the 4th gens are hot. :D

However check this one out... how can you say no!

7th gen is faster, no doubt. Especially the V6 6spd as everyone has said, I'm sure it's a blast to drive. And the interior ain't bad either. But the outside of that car is not nearly as well designed as the 6th gen. I was surprised to hear you like the sedan so much..that back end is horrendous.

Really though, it's about what you want. Not sure how old you are, but I can tell by your question that you're really not sure you want that car. Don't settle for anything less than EXACTLY what you want, ever. You will regret it. Especially if you're a car nut.

Earlier this year I was thinking about replacing my 99 coupe with an 03 CL-S 6spd. I kept envisioning how fun it would be to drive a car with that transmission and power...even though I wasn't crazy about the exterior. And I'm SO glad I kept my car. I have decided I'm going to drive it until it won't go anymore..then buy an '07 TL-S or similar.

That's more or less the position I'm in. I'm getting married soon so a sedan is the right choice. Right now I don't feel like my 99 accord is that much fun to drive... coming from a lightweight 91 accord 5spd and was slightly modified.

My biggest question recently is do I spend $1K to do the 5lug swap or spend an extra $2500-3 to get an 03 accord. I'm a practical guy BUT I can't shake the idea of doing a 5-lug swap. :run:
