Hey all. I need to pick up some sway bar bushings. I was just curious if there were any aftermarket brands I should look in to or if I should just stick with OEM.

Also, The sway bar needs to actually come off the change the bushings correct? So while I'm at it should I have the end links replaced at the same time? Are End Links considered a "Maintenance Item?"

Thanks for any input.

Just buy the oem bushings if you just got oem sway bars in there. The sway bar does not need to come off to take the bushings off. You just take off the brackets(held by 2 bolts) and replace the bushings(go easy on the two bolts as they tend to be rusted at times and can break off causing a bit of a headache). Add some antiseize inside the bushings prior to placing on swaybar to keep it from squeaking throughout its life.

End-links should be replaced if they've gone bad, torn boots, or you're upgrading to a stronger/beefier sway bar.

The bar doesn't have to come off? Are the bushings split? I thought I had to feed it on from one of the ends. That should make it easier to do then. Do you know about how long it takes?

The bushings are cut on one side. Depending how long it takes you to jack the car up, put it on jackstands and get under it, along with if you end up breaking one or more of the bolts or not lol.

If all goes well, probably 10-20 minutes
