New 17's or 18's?!?! need help!

225 is a decent amount of stretch on a 10" width rim. Either way, I'd stick with a 40 profile on 18's.

Ya thats why I wasn't thinking about going for 215/45 but the only reason I ask is because if the rim in the front pokes too much I don't want to have to pull the fender just stretch the tire more. But if its too sketchy ill just go with a smaller width rim

IMO, 225/40 would be better. It'll look less like a rubber band
