Hey guys! So I'm definitely new to the world of cars, mods, etc.
I currently drive a 1997 BMW 528i, that I'm trading my mom for her 1998 Accord V6 coupe (Dark Purple).
The trade was primarily due to the BMW being a gas guzzler, spending an average of 60$ a week.
The accord is similar in fuel economy, but it get's a better average + it's lighter.
Regardless, I'm planning to fix up the car and make it nice!
Any exterior mods you guys can recommend I first do?
I have 1500$ budget. I plan on getting rims and headlights probably.
I've seen those Halo looking headlights, anyone have a link to good ones?
Also, what color rims go well with dark purple?
I want the theme to have red accents, so should I find those black rims with the red strips?
Thanks all! I've driven her car multiple times and loved speed and handling.
Smoked a Civic SI with it too ;)

Welcome, enjoy your stay.

As for the halo headlights, I would advise against it. For the exterior mods, you be the judge of that, it is your car.

Since your car is a shade of purple, Daniel's (Dukebb23) rims look great on his car matched to the purple.

Did somebody say dark purple?

That's Sinful's car. Don't know if he still has it, he's one of the 6GA OGs who hasn't been around for awhile.

There's nothing wrong with halos, they just don't fit the rest of the car.
With a $1500 budget you should be able to do quite a bit of mods. Start reaching coilovers, a front lip, rims & tires, retro fits or black housed headlights, & change the transmission fluid. :lawl: transmissions are the #1 problem with the 6th gens
Your getting a car from your mom so u will know the history & maintenance of the car so have fun moding

Again as I'm new to car modding and stuff, what are retrofits? Also, I don't plan on lowering/dropping my car or anything, at least not soon and if I do, I'm probably just going with springs for a small lowering, haha.
Any front lips you can recommend with links? I'd need to get them painted right? D:

Thanks for the shout out man. The silver does make the purple stand out more but I was going to go the gunmetal route if I didn't find those Momos.

Good luck with the mods. Just look around the site I am sure you will find plenty of mods to do with your new ride.
