Hey everyone I just joined the site and have already found so much useful stuff. This will be my first honda accord I have owned although I am def not new to the scene. I currently own 6 cars was 7 for awhile but Im downsizing to focus on my current 97 db7 build. But I picked up this 01 honda accord on the way and has become my new daily.

And as Im sure alot of you know if your passionate about cars you cannot leave anything stock :)

So I picked this accord for extremely cheap here is the info 01 honda accord lx automatic 2.3. 108,xxx miles on it. Exterior is in overall good shape minus a dent in the rear bumper but Im going to pop that out untill I can source another one. Picked it up for $800.....yes thats right $800 because it was in need of a transmission. So It sat for quite awhile as I was so busy I couldnt get around to it.

Well one day I was reading local forums which I am on a lot and was reading through and found someone had a bad tranny and it was starting to slip so they flushed the fluid out drove it for 6k miles and flushed it again then repeated one more time and went back to 30k miles and this solved their issue.

So I figured with the low miles of my accord what the heck why not.So I did this and put fresh honda dw1 fluid back in it and low and behold it shifts like a champ. Only issues is down low when it shift from 1st gear but nothing I dont think wont be solved after another flush or two.

Anyways its the dark green exterior with tan interior of course one of the most common colors :( Im not a fan but it obviously was too good of a deal to pass up. So I am currently attempting to source up tan leather interior front and rear w/door panels locally and I snagged up some 17x7 Volk av3's to throw on it because Im not into replica/knock wheels.

I love all the extra accossories and already bought the factory rear cargo net off a member on here already. :) I have big plans for it but dont wanna take away from it being a comfortable daily driver.

Sorry for the long intro pics will be up later today

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new car. Thats what you call an introductory haha. But you just joined one of the friendliest families. Thats until you dont search then its like you been fed to the hounds and they get all blood thirsty :furious:. But im sure you can do that. Have fun and cant wait to see some pics and progress. Question. Are you going to just gone ahead and upgrade it to a manual

Thanks guys once I remember how to use this picture upload I will get them up Im going to find the sticky on how to post them which Im sure is on here somewhere. The forums I typically use have another style of posting pics.

And darianjr1 yes I know all about people who dont use the search function I hate it with a passion it drives me nuts haha

To answer your question about converting it to manual as of right now I have no plans to convert it I honestly love daily driving an automatic because I work downtown columbus so alot of bumper to bumper stop and go bs and its not the best with a 5spd but things may change. Although I have a 5spd crv which Im working on and my ek and danger ranfer which are both 5spd also so I have plenty of 5spds to drive but like I said before I cant leave anything stock so its def a possibility :)

Welcome to the site. What part of OH are you from?

And as for the slipping, check into changing the shift solenoids. It's been known to help with the slipping.

Engine bay is stupid clean. Timing belt water bump, balance belt all drive belts and spark plugs wires distributor cap and rotor were all replaced by previous owners, But it was all replaced by me through our shop which is one of the best parts.

Brakes needed replaced and the rotors were warped so I replaced them with napa blanks and top line adaptive one pads.

Here are the wheels, All I am waiting for is the inverted lugnuts to come in. Right now I have some 215-55-17's on them right now which is thicker than I prefer but I got the tires for free so for now they will be fine
