Well, yeah, the name brand ones are expensive. They usually have better mounting hardware, and better filter. The intake comes down to being a pipe. That's all. Especially since our cars don't have MAF sensors. I would take more precaution if that were the case. But I think brand names ones tend to be 2.5 while the eBay ones are 3" which I like.
