the tuner has tried both ways, with vtec and without vtec, so basically yes the car is having vtec engaged.

the tuner is using Ectune. He says it is a new tuning program that basically combines the pos of all other tuning programs in one.

I asked if it was engaging, not whether it was there or not. My money is on Vtec or CYP sensor in the distributor.

fuel delivery? injectors maxed out/pump weak?

im not familiar with this ecu program...does it use a general map or one that you can configure to the car/mods and then load? can you edit the fuel curves?

i was thinking vtec just like greg...

they tell me that the injectors are no were near being maxed out. Unless their is something wrong with the stock pump than that should be ok. I dont hting the pump would have something go wrong all of a sudden. If their was something wrong with the stock pump, would that show a break up in fuel delivery on the tuner laptop???!?!?!

As for the ecu maping. they told me that the program uses a base map from the accord f series engines and then tunes from there. Yeah i know they edited the fuel curves of the car beucase the tuner told me that he added and minused 5% fuel from the curve to try and compentated for the problem to see if his calculations were off, but still their was not change in the cars characteristics on the dyno.

#1Welcome
#2 I have no clue what engine mgmt. your using, so I cant really help with that. Shouldve gone with Hondata S300.
#3 Like Ryan said, your injectors may be maxed out and not getting enough fuel on the top end. Do you have stocks or upgraded?

thank you for the welcome man. AS for the car tuning, ECtune is supposdly a new program that is not availabe to distrubutors, or the open "market." That is what the tuner stated to me.

The shop has pretty much told me already that the injectors are not maxed out. Plus the original guy that was running the kit, did so with stock injectors and the car bieng obd2 with the vortech FPR and missing link. HE supposely had it running fine, then again i never seen that car run with this kit since he lived on the west coast.

yeah, he told me that it was engaging. But to be honest with you, now that i think bout it, it did sound like vtec was not engaging, becuase the car sounded just like the time i was having the issue with the vtec no engaging after i did the trans swap. Sounded like it was running hard, but just flat, same it did once i swaped the trans to manual and had to figure out the vtec. BUt, like i said, he said the vtec was engaging. I am just so dam confused right now.

Not trying to sound stupid, but what is a CYP sensor in the dizzy??

Cylinder position sensor, with you saying it falls on its face after or around 4k rpm's...to me it sounds like it could be either one.

Sounds like they're trying to get some more money out of you with the clutch situation.
