My summer home in the hamptons let me drool at all the nice cars. we used to be FILLED with just ferrari's, lambos, a few aston martin's and maserati's here and there... but now its all bentleys/escalades!!!!! ...

I guess the trends change... aston martin ftw though

Yeah, Prestige is for people that can't afford the cars, but want to look like they can.

I don't see how people would want to rent a porsche, corvette or benz... they're not that high profile of cars... the others i could see...

Prestige leases them too, so instead of having a $600-700/mo payment by financing the vehicle, they can lease it for more like $400-500/mo.

IMO if I'm going to get a high end car, I want it to be MINE when I get done paying for it, and if I can afford the payment or pay cash for it, I'm not gonna buy it. People who lease Bently's, Porsche, Lambos etc are posers IMO (ex. Rappers).

My goal, is to own a NSX-T by the time I'm 35, which by my calculations, is VERY attainable.

i wan an NSX. omg, i drool over that car. and i agree justin, i rather buy the car or not have it all. renting/leasing is just a tease and wasted money in the end.

be like it is
cars like the nsx and s2k are easy for regular people to afford...id rather own one of those in the next 10 years, own it for the rest of my life, and know that it will still be running when im 65+. they may be worth little by that time, but its still my car.

versus: saving up till im 45-50 and just barely having enough to have a rolls or w/e and keep up with the maintenance.

with the 1st scenario, i could conceivably have enough cash for an s2k (to keep stock and drive on weekends), a DD, and a project car to dump money into

Ryan I agree with you 100%, and I'm going to add that those high end cars are REAL expensive to keep maintained as well. The only thing that would make an NSX a bitch to maintain would be the fact that it's mid engine, and there is no room to work on it in the engine bay. I'm pretty sure to could perform an oil change with little effort, but changing the spark plugs would probably be a different story.

But, with all the money I'll save by buying an NSX instead of a Porsche, I'll be able to afford a lift so I can drop the engine if I need too.
