Thinking of adding a power outlet port somewhere on the car. Just having one is inconvenient sometimes. Need some ideas on where would be a good spot. Only place I can really think of is inside the the arm rest area

If you wanna cut, the back of the arm rest would be a convenient spot for people riding in the back seat. I know I hate when my ipod dies when i'm in the back seat. haha

An easy spot would be the lower portion of the arm rest. The section with all the bumps on it can be removed and cut to size so the plug sits flush and looks clean. That's where I put my usb and 3.5mm jack for my iphone to connect to my headunit.

off topic, but its also a good place to hide your stash. lift up, hide, put back down, cover up with all the crap you usually have in there.

but on a real note, i've thought about this i just bought a splitter. i don't ALWAYS need two so cutting up my interior and hacking up wires wasn't exactly on my top choices list.the splitter is nice just keep it in the glove box so it's there when you need it and you can just plug it in then go from there. you also have you're option of 1-2, 1-3, or 1-4 outlets. in my 5th gen i just screwed one with 3 outlets to the inside of my center armrest. and ran all the wires under my center console. but it was in convenient for any kind of storage.

^ good point but something being plugged up in there shouldnt really obstruct with hiding the clutter

The back of the console will have to be very low since the inner box gets in the way. I mounted my second one on the side of the console on the passenger side at about the same place front to back as the OEM one. I did it originally when I had the center channel in the console but now that I've changed the setup I just have two. One I wired up to be on constant power so one is switched and the other is on all the time.
