well if I wanted to, I wouldn't have just told the server admin about a password verification problem....

i recall you posting about hacking the server (casually) perhaps a month ago?
regardless of intentions, it's not really endearing yourself to the actual admins of this forum
a dictionary kit wouldn't do much unless you had a word from the dictionary in the password...a brute force on truly random (generated) 13-16 characters with a-z, A-Z, numbers, symbols, etc would still take days if not weeks to crack running the attack at 100%. can you say "vendetta"? or boredom, perhaps. but 6ga is such a low-flying forum it would have to be a vendetta, really...why not go play with the tex or vipstylecars or something?

well if the error in the new server update only chcked the first 8 characters then it wouldn't take nearly as long.... and dictionary attacks dont just use the dictionary. its a misnomer. usually use lists that do include, but are not limited to, the dictionary.
