noob question..what would happen if i take off the pre muffler on my car??

whats the sound diff..better or worse.i mite replace the pre muffler with a strait pipe.my uncle has a shop and will do it for free..

It will sound like crap and rasp when cold like mine does, but that could also be because the shop that welded my pipe in sucked horribly and now it has holes and leaks where they welded it.

It would sound like *** lol, I ran mine without mufflers for about 5 mins while I was replacing my stock pipes... The neighbors complained lol

Replacing the PRE muffler should sound much better actually. Well, it least on the V6 it does. You obviously don't want to remove the MUFFLER itself.

you think thats bad, I ran one of my cars without any exhaust for a drive, gave me such a headache

itd sound horrible. buy a cat back if you want a deeper sound.
