a DSLR is a Digital Single Lens Reflex camera...the SLR part refers to the viewfinder using a mirror reflecting light through the lens so you can frame the picture. You could say it is a DSL, but it is not a DSLR. Although it shares image sensor size with many DSLR's, by definition it is not.
maybe it should be changed to the "official interchangeable lens camera owner's club"? the pentax K-01 shares almost everything with the K-5, including the lens mount, but its minus the viewfinder and mirror box (and the exterior shell is different, obviously)...for example. or we could always make a new thread for mirrorless cameras...
