And for those rare instances, keep a gun in your glove compartment in case you happen to catch them in the act. :coffee:

Parking is a big one. But there are a lot of driving situations where it happens. In winter, be sure to keep your distance from cars that have a foot of snow on the roof, a lot of people are too dumb to brush this off. And after it sits a few days, it's ice. Sometimes the wind will catch a slab of ice on the freeway and throw it into up in the air only to come down on your hood.

I also keep a lot of distance from trucks with open beds or dump trucks carrying dirt and rocks. They have no idea their s**t is not secured and falling onto the road behind them.

This thread is the reason for my quote in my sig. Some people actually don't view their car as only a mode of transportation.

Also to add...I do not care how much you hate someone. You do NOT mess with another man's automobile. It's just wrong, period.

^ yeah a lot of people are lazy bastards and can't clean the snow off their cars. I heard that pigs can pull you over and make you clean all the snow off your car because its a hazard to other drivers, but I dont know if thats true or not. I dont really care because I always brush off my accord, even if theres only like half an inch of snow on it.

Just park next to a car that is much nicer than your own. It will be a diversion for thieves, haha.

if you're driving with a buddy somewhere and theres 1 person in each car...

one guys reverses and parks as close to the curb as possible, the next guy drives in forward and parks as close to you as possible leaving like 6 feet of space between the next car in line.

Be careful with this though cause some dick might think you parked in your buddy not knowing that you're friends & what you're trying to do and then might vandalize your car.

Anyone mention parking next to Lexuses and Benz, BMWs, the higher end luxury vehicles?

Good tips and topic, Danny

I always try to do that. And considering I live in OC, it's really not that hard as long as I don't need to go to Santa Ana...

Great Advice everyone. Thanks for the tips.

One other thing I'd add is that whenever I go to an ATM, I always try to park within site of the camera if possible. This way if any shinannigans occurs, you have a better chance of getting a tape of it.

I wouldn't recommend this. Just b/c someone drives a nice car doesn't mean they aren't careless too.

I remember many many years ago regarding my mom's new 4Runner. Went to the mall and came out to see this new BMW 3-series had parked next to it. Took a look at our passenger door and saw a HUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE dent from the 3-series's driver door. It lined up perfectly no mistaking it from a different car (it'd left a mark on the Bimmer door edge). My dad took revenge and kicked the bimmer but don't remember if it worked or not.

Sometimes the nicer cars are driven by careless old ladies or spoiled daddy's girl without a care in the world.

Oh, don't forget about the fat drivers and they drive all sorts of vehicles. They HAVE to open their doors fully.
