Hello,

I recently picked up a 2000 Honda Accord LX 4cyl with 108,000 miles. I wanna do an oil change on it but not sure how many quartz it needs and not sure what oil weight to use.

I was thinking 10W-30, 4 quartz.

What do you guys recommend?

Thank you,

Augie.

The car requires 4.5 quarts of oil. I would just run 5W-30 and I would run a higher mileage oil such as Valvoline Maxlife as you never know if the motor has been abused or not so it would be better to use a high mileage oil to restore the motor as much as possible. I would also buy the Purolator Pureone oil filters off Amazon as they're $5/each and they're almost twice the size of the OEM filters.

I've been running 5W-30 Mobil 1 Synthetic since 102K and now I'm at 135K. OCI about 6-7K miles. Oh and I use Wix filter.

No problemo.
