I got some money to drop my car, im gonna drop them on canuck motorsports springs ( i heard good reviews from mazda/civic/dodge avenger owners) the problem im having is the drop for 2.3inch is the same price as 1.5 however i need too be able to fit my winter tires as well ( 195/65/15) without them rubbing. My summer wheels are 18x7.5s on 215/35/18 tires im gonna get 225/40 once the tires i have now are toast. Im going to use my stock struts until i can gather some dough ( half way there) for some kyb's or koni's.

any opinion on wether i should drop her 1.5 or 2.3? i tried searching but nothing came up lol i dont want to pay 500+ and not be impressed with the drop.

What? You said you're going to use stock shocks... save up for better ones. I don't know many people on here using KYB, stay away from the KYB GR-2's for sure.

I think you should save that $500 and put it towards some decent coilovers. That way if you're not happy with the drop you can adjust it. Either save up another $100 and buy some F2 Type 1's, or save up a little more and get a set of Tein Basics for better ride comfort.

KYB GR2's are stock replacement shocks, your not helping urself by getting them. If your gonna drop it 2.3 inches i recommend Koni Sports(yellows) or tokico Illuminas or even KYB AGX if u want to stay with that brand. Tokico HPs (Blues) and Koni Streets are supposed to be stock replacements but i think that because they are after market that they can take more abuse than say KYB GR2s but in the end they will give out faster cause they arent designed for drops.

Im on KSport GTs (2.25"F/2.5"R) and Koni Sports (Yellows) i love the drop and the ride. Im also on steelies which are 195/65/15 and nothing rubs but i think with your 18s you will have to probly roll you fenders and move the bumper tab so u dont rub. I could be wrong on all this but having done my suspension recently i think im pretty accurate.

Any particular reason you went with a 35 series tire on 18" wheels? Judging from the width and sidewall of the tires, its not likely you'll rub with a 2.5" drop, though I really can't say for sure. Should be fine.
