The problem with water getting into your oil is it changes the viscosity of the oil. It can put damage to your bearings on the bottom and top end.

Overheating ur car can be repaired by just machining the head as long as it wasnt severe. In your case, you should have replaced the headgasket when u did everything else then you would have saved your engine.

Bottom line is, honda is right. Time for a replacement long block.

Well the head has to come off, then it has to be machined. It wont be cheap.

I didnt factor the head being machined

especially at honda? 500 bucks is quite low.

Well they never quoted me for a headgasket, they quoted me for a putting in a rebuilt engine. Which as far as im concerned aint doing it, i'll sell the car as is or part out.

Well it is what it is, u can just remachine the head and install everything else. But more problems with probably return.

A long block shud only be like 4-500 dollars.

You probably have block warpage. You can get a complete JDM engine for about $450-500 with about 40-60k miles. Save yourself the headache on rebuilding this engine. Your only putting a band aid over this engine and eventually like luver said problems will arise later on. Or hit up a junk yard and find an engine probably with more miles and burning a ton of oil but $1-200 cheaper. Is it really worth it? Don't give up man. Good luck
