So my CG threw me a CEL last night on the way home from work. (P0172, Bank 1 system too rich) I was told this could be due to bad O2 sensor, vaccuum leak, or possibly a bad injector. Any other possible culprits?

Would like to know as soon as possible so I can get it fixed tomorrow, classes start on Tuesday and I need my CG to be in good shape cuz the CB7 is out of commision.

Is the car not running? If you can start it and drive it then your only problem will be extra fuel consumption. Long term problems from running rich will be fouled plugs and detonation. If it runs okay it could wait.

Check the voltage sent out by the primary o2 sensor. It should oscillate between roughly 0.2-0.8v without staying at either a high or a low for an extended period of time.

Check the FPR for a blown diaphragm? Unhook the vacuum hose from the top of it and smell for fuel in it.

If you have the means for it check the fuel pressure...

Have you ever cleaned your EGR port/EGR Valve? If not maybe consider cleaning it.

Does the car seem hard to start in the morning? ...could be a leaky fuel injector.

Yeah it starts ok, but I would prefer the car not be in limp mode all the time. And I'm not sure if thats just a mistake, or what, but I would really rather my car not detonate. 0.o

Yes the start-ups are usually a little rough, but it always runs smooth after getting to normal operating temperature.
