How much wire brushing/sanding did you have to do? I was also impressed with the VHT.

Not much at all just took a wire brush to get the loose dirt/rust off and then cleaned them with a painters brush and gasoline.

Gasoline huh? lol I used brakleen, that stuff takes the stripes off a bengal tiger.

I was going to take mine off the car to paint, but one of the mounting bolts wouldn't budge, so after 40 gallons of wd-40 and trying about 6 different ways of applying leverage I gave up and did an extensive masking job, and it worked out well.

Yeah gasoline lol I know what you mean, one of my bolts wouldn't budge either. Ended up stripping the thing and filing it back into shape till a smaller tool thing fit and used a pipe for leverage and finally got it off. My father works at a machine and tool shop so he resized the original bolt to a smaller size so now it comes off no prob and i still got the original. He also took my rotors to work and leveled them down smoothly (looks brand new).

Wire brushed the calipers and sanded drums to get a cleaner look, then coated with High Heat Black paint.

I painted mine using a duplicolor paint kit, it was the brush on kind which i found much easier and more precise than spraypaint.
