I taped it off because like someone said earlier you have to have the reflective part showing and I didnt wanna risk getting pulled over. I taped off the reverse lights cuz when I first did them I tried to back up at night and couldnt see anything! I have really dark tint so that didnt help any. I want to paint it a little darker and I think it will look money.

Can I wet sand the paint just as if I was wet sanding a part of a car? I dont like the roughness of the paint, orangepeel affect.

This is a cool thread. I used the testors red on my talon to make things all read. It worked well and made the red (and orange that became red) way brighter. Good, oem look, a bit flashier than stock but still looks stock. Now at michael's i found some other transparent red paint. This stuff was much darker. Not as much as steadypimpin's, sort of inbetween that and stock. It came in a bluish can, called stained glass paint, all they carried as far as i know. So if you want it a little lighter, that might be the way to go. The stuff was cheap, like $3-4 a can.

Well, you can even use regular window tint. Then you don't even have to use paint. Obviously, the tint is exposed, unlike a window so it can get damaged but realistically it won't if you put any care in your car. That used to be all the rage back when i was 16 or so for the people who couldn't affort the plastic tinted covers.

what you need to buy is for model cars, go to almost any hobby store and they sell it in little spray cans, 5 bucks each...rc car spray tint. works good as hell on tails, had it on my old accord and its on my xtreme right now and my 4runner
