Hmm... I'm looking at your mod list on the OP, and I can't figure out what brad your current coilover is... :naughty:

:lawl:

Besides, car's looking good! You should post some pics of the front-end shot of your retros. Keep up the good work, Derek!

LOL every time..... thanks :handshake: Fixed the typo hahaha

Thanks! I actually got into an accident and the front is totally jacked up.... Front bumper is gone and my passenger headlight is destroyed which breaks my heart.... My brand new retros.... On the bright side the projector is ok so all I have to do is get a new headlight and redo it. That's why I haven't updated pics of my car yet :( I'm trying to save up to fix everything up THEN I can update my pictures :D

I got a few things on my mod list too that really want to save up for! I really regret selling my side skirts and rear lip so I'm going to buy them again :lawl: Especially after seeing your car and how much the full lip kit complements the car, I was a fool to sell mine. other than that I really want fog lights, an AP1 steering wheel, and some Cipher black leather racing seats to replace my ripped up oem ones. That's all I have in mind for now but we'll see what else I'm going to be wanting in the future hahaha

NP, buddy. :hihi:

Holly shhh.. You didn't have to upload the pic just b/c I asked you, man..

Well, Bayson R's poly lip kits are easy to get them online, so that's a good thing.

But, here's one thing that you should keep in mind, when getting the rear lip mounted on your car: (I don't know, if you noticed it when you had the rear lip on your car, but this is what I told Mikeymike823 about it.)
 ↓
[quote]Assuming that you'll most likely be getting BR's poly lip to complete the look, there are two suggestions for you, based on my experience on this particular rear lip:

The rear lip is gonna be difficult to be mounted flush (mounting it along w/ the thin line on your bumper), and there are a lot of times ppl end up mounting it at the bottom of that line.

1) When you receive the rear lip, by looking at the back of it, you'll be able to tell that the lip was welded together from 3 pieces. There will be 2 sections at the corner, where the pieces were welded, and you might see some small chunks of remainder of welded spots being lumpy. If you happened to see those spots, I'd recommend you shave them off 'n smooth it out, so that the whole corner of the rear lip completely makes a fine contact w/ your rear bumper. Even if you do this, the lip might be a tight fit, but just to give you the heads-up.

2) The right side of the rear lip (say, from the rear side marker to the end of the section, when it's mounted) tends to look sagged down a bit. It's b/c that particular section tends to be inwards, when they made it. You can use a hair dryer / heat gun to warm up the piece 'n re-shape it, prior to the paint job. If it's difficult to see what I mean, PM me. I can show you other member's pic as an example.

Side note: Avoid making a long time exposure under the UV from the sun, since polyurethane is vulnerable to it, and it deforms easily when you leave the piece in an improper placement, regardless of being under the sunlight. (i.e. leaving it in your trunk in an odd shape over night.) Some ppl end up mounting them on their cars for a long time w/o having them painted for various reasons, but it's actually better to paint them right away, after test-fitting them.

Poly lip is great b/c it will never crack / break, but it can deform easily, until you securely mount it. I treated it like it was an ABS plastic, when I got mine.

Sry for the long essay. I was just bored lol. Plz keep that in your mind; That's all. And, good luck!

Oh, I think you might know this already but, it's good idea to add the flex agent in the paint, when it gets painted. Since poly lip bends easily, the flex agent in the pain prevents from having a crack (spider web crack) on the painted surface.

Good luck to you as well, Derek!

Oh its ok I dont really mind. I already had the picture on my phone.

Yeah that happened with mine... The lip had these two spots that wouldnt sit tight to the bumper and I hated it lol I didnt know how to fix it till now! Thanks haha when I get it i'll make sure to do that and I'll use some 3M tape too

I quit painting my own lips because I only can do it with rattle cans and each time it looks nice for a week then it has chips everywhere.... haha I just get it painted by a professional so I'll assume they will add it since they should know. Do you have to ask them to add the flex?

(Funny that we're going back 'n forth between our MR thread right now lol.)

I love DIY paint job, but when it comes to painting a big piece, like a bumper lip, I just have the pros do the job. Oh yes, you def want to make sure they'll add the flex. Always good to make sure. ;) I remember telling the shop to add the flex, and also said: "Please do not stack my bumper lips on top of each other, or in an odd shape, while you guys store them 'till the work starts; Handle w/ care, as if they were not urethane."

yeah :henry:

Same here painting my lips was fun but never lasts and looks as good..... and thanks ill be sure to double check! I remember my old lip before this BR one was professionally done but it started getting these lines in it kind of like cracks or something. So i'll be sure to double check this time! just going to wait till i get sides and rear then get it painted all at once.
