Ok, heres the situation. Some guy wanted photos and he said he wanted the photos in medium format. So first thought was wtf, he wanted film? I couldnt do medium format b/c that would require a $20K + digital back. No thanks. So after talking to the guy, it turns out he wanted medium jpegs. Cool. Medium format done.

For him to receive the photos, rather than having me put it on a CD or anything and have me drive out there to give it to him, he wants it via ftp which stands for file transfer protocol. So now I'm asking if anyone has ever used ftp.

that's what the **** i'm talking about.

You'll need an FTP server program and they can be tricky to set up if your behind a firewall or router.

Why not post a .zip on RapidShare?

What kind of client, I guess, would only want medium-sized JPEGs? :eh:

:p

But you could host a zip to any free hosting site (Rapidshare, FileFront, etc). Probably easiest if you don't have FTP already set up.

I'll see if I can post a .zip on rapidshare. I honestly don't know, but thats what he wanted. This was an event at Prive in Old city and I was "hired" by Paparazzi Magazine. www.paparazziphilly.com
I spy kit lenses and Rebel's in their intro video....

Seems strange that anyone would want to hire "paparazzi"

Probably an easy way for a photographer to make money, as long as they pay decently.

wow google! Why didn't I think of that?!

Yeah, I already googled it...there were a lot of "free FTP" programs and I didn't want to download some bullshiet one so I figure I ask to see what others thought of it.
