a dude on a photo forum im on got a "broken" 40d for like $200...put $250 into it and had a like-new nearly-$1000 cam for less than $500 
next up in the photo stuff is...mo film
should be ordering today i think...
2x foma 400 ($1.49/ea, how can i resist a short-date of 6/09?)
2x arista premium 100
2x "" 400
1x neopan ss 100
2x fp4+ 125
2x hp5+ 400 (so i can push the **** out of it )
1x tri-x 400
1x tmax 400 (i like the results ive seen pushed to 1600)
1x adox art 100 (classic emulsion)
mightttt hit up 1 roll of efke 400 but its supposedly really fragile. also might get a roll or two of the new ektar 100. but ill probably end up getting a 100' roll of portra 160nc for $25 and roll it myself. other places sell that for like $75/roll...
also have a roll of foma 400 sitting here and 2x neopan 1600...not to mention about 20 rolls of film frozen since the late 1970s

next time i order ill try the kentmere films and re-up on the films i like. hp5+ is my "standby" film as of now but its too expensive for snapshots...even rolling it myself still makes it over $2/roll. i think a bulk roll of foma 400 might be the ticket...
film slr's are a dime a dozen...i have...4 right now a red filter on digital would make the pics red...thats it you can convert a pic to B&W in PS then tweak the red channel if you want.
thats another thing i need...as of now, i only have light green and orange filters...need a red and a yellow one of these days...

i think im going to wait to get into MF. a pentacon six will probably be my choice, since i can get the 50/4 flektogon and 80/2.8 biotar and a tilt or shift adapter and use em on my other cameras...
although...i could get a kiev -> m42 adapter and all i need is a 120 reel...and im ordering film anyway

It's okay, I'm trying to hold back from buying that 70-200L.... I haz teh moniez... but then I wouldn't have much for savings, so... no go.
