That lens is awesome. I get to use one to shoot sports for UVa, and I love it. I use a D3 with that 70-200 f/2.8 VR and a D300 with the 300 f/2.8 VR for football games :deal:

looking to buy a couple filters for mah lenses...

tamron 70-300mm
pentax 16-45mm (already have a 2 stop filter, but it's not very useful imho)

ideas?
and where's the best place to get them from?

a 2-stop filter is useful for taking 2 stops of light away from the sensor :lawl:

what are you looking to get? UV, polarizing?

i would get the biggest one you need (say, 68mm for the 16-45 or whatever it is) then use a step up ring on the 70-300.

not sure which one, but i'm leaning towards a polarizing filter since i like to do outdoor shoots

step up ring? :eh:

ND filters are meant for outdoor shots, polarizers are for reducing reflections, UV filters are useless.

step up ring attaches to your tamron lens like a filter then the larger filter is attached to the ring....so you wont have to buy 2 of the same times of filters
