Danny is right. It dont take much to make your neck sore from a rear end collision. She should be alright though, since it was a low speed.

Glad everyone is ok and nice job with getting the hookup with the extra cash!!! I love it when insurance works out like that.

IDK, maybe I'm desensitized to accidents and I don't feel for people like I should, but about two years ago I totalled my Mustang - hydroplaned on the highway and put the car head-on into a 4ft concrete barrier head-on at 50mph, went airborn, landed, did a 360, and hit the rear quarter panel of the car a few hundred feet away on the same barrier and slid to a stop. $14k in damages.

Yes, I was lucky. But at the same time, if I can walk away from that without a scratch, this bitch can walk away from a dented bumper without trying to get rich in the process. I just hate people who abuse the system.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. Glad to hear you and her are okay though.
I remember the feeling I had when I fell victim to a hit and run....anger doesn't describe it.
But on a side note - the more I see that kind of type r grill the more i like the look of it...may be in my future as well.

Also, do insurance companies cover aftermarket parts? Like say I got into an accident - would they only give me the value of my factory parts or would they give me the value of what I replaced them with?

Not sure about aftermarket parts vs oem, I'm sure it varies with different companies.

Didn't even see this thread, Ray. Sucks, not sure how your insurance laws work down there, but I know up here, even if the driver in front actually did do something wrong, you would get nailed for it because the person who rear-ends someone is seen to be at fault. There would have to be witness statements to prove otherwise.
