piston question

i searched and i couldnt really find anything that will tell me what pistons would fit our accords the f23a1.

Im planning on building my accord finally but i need some more info do the k20a3 rods and piston fit?

There are pistons already out there made by CP for our motor. Yes the K20 pistons fit, and according to the sticky right above this thread the rods will fit too. You can also overbore to 87mm and use off the shelf K24 or H22/23 pistons.

Are you planning on building N/A or for boost? Because if N/A, I have the perfect cam for you ;)


The F23 will stay N/A - the block in my garage will be boosted. As soon as I find a head for it.

check out raceeng.com, i think thats the right site. Race Engineering.

They have CP Pistons 86mm stock bore.
Also .20 over = 86.5mm overbore

I would NEVER replace the pistons with stock bore though. The pistons cost around $700 w/ rings. You can get your block overbored, cleaned, and checked for $100 at any machine shop. For 1/7th of the price it definitely cheap insurance. Nothing worse than starting a motor for the first time and it smokes like a chimney.
