We all know the perks of having powersteering (p/s), easy turning, tht the grandmas tht honda was aiming to sell these accords to.

But have you ever considered not having p/s? It frees up power, makes driving more fun, gives your "guns" free workouts and its FREE. but it doesnt come cheap, it may only take (2) 14mm bolts and some napkins to remove p/s, but it makes turning slow a B!TCH.

So whats everyones opinion on the matter. i have it off and love it, but i dont park in confine areas or paralell park either

how does it make driving fun, exactly. for me, without having power steering, it's a bitch for a daily driver like me.

be like it is
well...since i plan to sell this car and buy another accord, i might consider it if the pump fails or whatever on the next acc. mines starting to make noises now, but i doubt anyone who would buy this car wants it powersteering-free...

Our EF hatch beater has no P/S and is a 4spd manual. You wanna talk about some fun. I love driving that thing, but I'd like it more if it had a 5th gear and 3rd didnt' grind.

haha! My EF doesn't have powersteering either.

If you guys DO remove it, remember to loop the line to the rack and pinion. You don't want it running dry, it could cause some damage.

(Or you could get a non-P/S R&P....but I don't think one is available for our cars.)

Yea I've already thought about the non P/S rack and pinion, quaife makes a quick ratio one for civics but I dunno if you can even fit a civic steering rack in our cars. I suppose you could w/ some fab work.

well, if it was a light weight car, like a civic, it wouldn't matter as much. but maybe i didn't like NOT having power steering because i was driving my uncle's truck.
