power steering leaking

anyone...?????

would it be best if i just replaced the whole power steering unit?

Did you properly scrape off all the old gasket? did you torque the bolts down in uniform, did you install the gasket correctly? It shouldnt leak with a new gasket.

Unles the power steering unit is making a loud whining sound, or not creating enough pressure to turn your wheels, you shouldn't have to replace it yet.

yea i installed the gasket correctly. its jsut a rubber ring that i replaced, so there was nothing to really scrape off. and what do you mean torque the bolts down in uniform? i bolted them down like how you bolt down the lugs on your wheels.

I would just get one off of Tasauto. I only buy light bulbs for my car off ebay. I don't trust the other stuff on there, especially PS pumps.

i just changed one of the gaskets thats connected to the power steering pressure hose, and so far nothing is leaking for now.. well see if thats the problem.
