Power Steering

I'm just curious on everyone's opinion, my accord is my project but also my dailey driver. I've ripped out my a/c cause I dont use it and I plan on boosting the engine in the next year so I needed the space. I'm debating on ripping out the power steering for space and for a cleaner engine bay, I drove it around for a while with the belt off and it wasnt that bad but the car is on 15's so its not that hard drive. I do want to get 16 or 17's but the larger the tire the harder it will be to turn. pst what you think.

i think u will be fine... when it comes to boosting though, i dont think you will really run into issues with the PS pump or even AC (depending on what kit you use)

ive seen people keep AC and PS when boosting just because its more of a luxury but it does cause drag

you should be fine without the PS. Theres a few people here who have taken it out. No complainers yet. just hit the weights before you do it lol

lol it definatley isnt a type R, thats just the first name that popped into my head but none the less I'm still proud of my car. Now rims are not on my priority list, performance first but I do like to plan everything out ahead of time to minimize mistakes. With 16-17's you dont think that it is going to be that much of an issue without the ps then?

Any difference would be minimal at best. At the most you'd be talking a couple lbs at each wheel, but if you're buying some good aftermarkets they should be lighter than your OEM's. Low end aftermarkets are a different story.

The big change comes with removing the power steering altogether. After that, running different wheels is a small adjustment.

I forgot about the weight diffrence in quality rims compared to the OEMs. I'll sure as ***t be happy to get rid of it. Overall I'm aiming for the "hot rod" style engine bay with a wire tuck and makeing it as clean as possible but still decently fast

for a ramhorn manifold, you cant have a/c.

and if op goes turbo, he should definitely do a ramhorn mani.

I don't have PS... on 15s it isn't bad, on 18s it's EASIER. Turning difficulty has a lot more to do with tire type and tire pressure than size... I run 40psi on my 15s and 45 on the 18s and I have no problems driving one handed.

I used to drive that way, not enough steering power/speed at lower/med. speed turns. On a lighter car yeah go ahead, on the Accord, I wouldn't.
