Problem with vents always blowing

I was wondering if anyone knew why I always have air blowing out of my vents ? I turn the temp knob to cold and it will blow cold. I change it to hot and it will blow hot, but I don't even have the fan on or anything ! Oh yeah it has the manual controls.

One more thing, How loud is the fan suppose to be when I do turn it on? It has a loud/constant growning noise.

it's just the air blowing in from the outside through the filters. it does it every car to an extent.

Theres a button that you can hit that will stop it. It has a picture of a car and a circular air flow pattern on it. hit that and your problems will stop

all cars do this, just hit the in car circulation, and itll stop when theres no fan speed selected.

Thanks a million... I'm going for a ride in a little, so I'll try it out. Does anyone know about the loudness of the blower ? It just seems like its way to loud.

The blower or the fan...your mentioning both. You shouldnt even be able to hear the fan, except maybe feel when it kicks on.

In any setting , face , feet , defrost whichever when i turn the fan on it starts to hum and get louder with the higher speed fan setting. Its so loud I can hardly hear my music

Its probably the blower motor then. You shouldnt actually be hearing the fan through the engine/firewall/dash.
