Actually, no one said whether it was 35 or 55 yet, but I'm curious as to which as well

Thanks for all the input guys.

Here's what I'm looking at:

Projector A was a bi-xenon projector, but due to space issues, I removed the actuator assembly. They are meant to be accept D1S bulbs, but my ballast have the ignitor built into my ballasts. I haven't found any D1S bulbs that don't already have the ignitor built onto them. Someone told me that D2S bulbs will fit correctly, so I purchased some 35w 5000k D2S bulbs. Sure enough, the D1S bracket twists off and the D2S bulbs fit snugly, but I'm not sure they're really giving me the result I should be expecting. Another issue, is that Projector A doesn't have a shroud between the lens and the reflector. I made one from a Monster Drink can painted flat black, and cut it precisely so that if fits evenly around the whole bulb area, but again, I think this might be hindering its performance.

Projector B is a single xenon projector with a fixed cutoff shield. It's quite small compared to projector A, and much easier to maneuver and mount in the headlight housing. This projector also has a black shroud already built-in between the lens and the reflector piece, so I don't have to worry about making one. Projector B was using 35w 4300k bulb that are about a year old, so I thought it might have suffered a little with total output, but it seems to have a much smoother output than projector A.

So here it is. Projector A is Bi-xenon E46, and Projector B is a halogen TYC projector.

I think with some new 5000k bulbs for the TYC projector, I'm going to be very satisfied.

i would have to say A...the cutoff seems to flow more and not be wavy...

*Edit and after reading your post above i would def say A...the E46 projectors i had were great..they had a really wide cutoff and never had problems seeing the road...and i just can't see a set of TYC projectors being as good

i know..and the first set makes the TYC look better...but on the 2nd set the TYC has a weird projection on the ground...overall it doesn't look even...E46 might not be as bright on the cutoff area..but if u look at the ground on the 2nd set the TYC seems to be very spotty with where it covers

Are you talking about the bottom left corner in the last photo?
