eh....i really dont want to open up another headlight, but how about if i do this....??
swap out the actual projector (lens?) part of the TYC projector and try to fit and secure another projector lens part from other vehicle? since that projector lens will give either sharp cut off/no glare vs dull cut off/glare depending on how good they are....right?

would it be simple job? or would i get myself into whole retro fit madness?

what youre talking about IS a retrofit...swapping a craptacular projector for a good one.

ok, i guess i am going for retro fit now then.....
alright.....should i do the retro with TYC projector since it already is "projector"? any downside of using their projector as headlight?

or i should just get another oem accord headlihgt, and do the retro there? or is it totally up to me for personal preference? lol

its up to you. just keep in mind that if you use the tyc headlight, youll have to make your own brackets for mounting and such...youre limited to what they have going on inside. with oem, you can do what you please for shrouds, projectors, angel eyes, painting, etc.

quick retro price rundown:
ballasts: 120-180
bulbs: 40-200 lol
harness: diy-50
oem headlights: 60-100
projectors: 80-375
shrouds: diy-120
paint n stuff: 20
labor: diy-275 or waaaay more if you want custom stuff

youll need everything above for a tyc retro but paint, and substitute like 180 for tycs and i dont believe you need to add a shroud...maybe just a bezel.

hmmm alright, that really was lots of help....thx alot....
still thinking if i should get headlights from 00accord4cyl tho...

and by any chance, does anyone know where i can find retro diy? ive seen one or two...very detailed picture and all.....i just cant find them now...if someone can link them up, ill be very appreciated....thx again.

and yeah....i guess i will start looking for parts and their prices, brand and model for retro fit....

ive heard denso ballasts will last. or hella gen3 can be a good choice.
d2s phillips 85122 bulbs is what ive seen on many pplz accord.
i do need to run all new harness from battery right?
didnt think oem headlight could be that cheap...are those price for used?
tsx projectors are most common i see around....
i kinda like projectors without shrouds....ill decide later.

any other suggestions?
and also other places anyone can reccomend to buy parts? other than ebay and hid planet?

thx so much...

denso slims are good, but matsush!ta gen 3 are the best. the hella gen 3 need some kind of water protection while the matsu's dont.

philips are the best bulb. you cant go wrong with the 85122s.

yes.

yes, just look around and be patient.

tsx are common, but there are others and better out there.

retros without shrouds are hideous. it looks like you just threw everything together. it would be like getting brand new rims and putting on some busted up, crappy, rusty walmart lug nuts.

beware of who and what you buy from ebay. dont buy from the retrofit source 24/7 or prelude1897...theyve both scammed people and have been banned from multiple boards. hidplanet may have more expensive products, but at least the people who sell them KNOW what theyre selling and can provide you more info. any other Q's you can post up or pm me
