so I installed the Cl-s steering wheel today and when i tested everything out, the cruise control didnt work and my srs light was on...i think the srs light is on because i started the car without the wires plugged up and i guess plugging them back in didnt make the light the go off. Just hoping the little collar didnt spin and break the air bag. But do you have to replace the cruise control with the original one or should the Cl-s one work is the main question here

If you had cruise before, you should have it now. The modules are the same. Sure you hooked everything back up?

You may just need to clear the srs light, then start the car again. If it comes on again, you may need to take it all apart again.

clear the srs light and see if it comes back. everything should work if the install was done correctly.

yes, the srs lights needs to be reset...thats why you dont start the car without it being plugged in haha. the good news is though, you dont need an airbag unless you plan on running into ****. haha.

cruise should work as long as youve plugged everything in. did you transfer your cruise buttons over, or did the steering wheel already come with them?

I think you can clear the SRS yourself, search on here if you haven't yet, I thought I recalled a thread or two on it...

Yeah I saw it somewhere here too, with a wire tap lol

And an OP, why did you start the car without airbag? You had to disconnect the battery before doing the work... always safe to do when you are messing with airbag system.

I think the lesson here is have the car completely assembled and everything buttoned up before turning it back on after doing anything related to electronics. lol
