question about engine issue

when the engine reachers 2800-3200 Rpms start to fail and never pass that mark, but if the car gets operating temp the problem appear when engine get a up to low gear, when stop and go. If i press the accel then now goes to 4600-52000 to start failing. Do you think this is the spark plugs? distributor ? i want to know is someone have this problem
