I just recently started driving a 2002 lx coupe, i noticed when i turn the car off the gas cluster (if im saying it right) doesnt automatically go down. it stays in the halfway mark ( i usually fill my tank about halfway). well i went to get gas this morning and when i went to turn my car on it slowly started filling up. my question is, is this a LX thing? i had a 01 ex-L coupe and it would never do this?

No it doesnt, well mine doesnt. My needle sits where its at when I shut the car off.

Also if youre filling up the car, with the key in the II position, the needle will move. If its off, the needle will sit where it was last till you turn it back on.

BTW, I have an 02 EX coupe.

I believe mines does the same thing. 2000 Accord LX Sedan, if that matters.

I fill it up to full when it's at about the halfway mark, turning the car off while filling the tank. When I turn the car back on, the needle slowly starts rising to the top.

i believe 4cyl doesn't go all the way down when you turn your ignition off, and 6cyl goes all the way down when you turn ignition off.
