just put my old cobra back in for the drive down. saw 2 state and nothing happened......went into a walmart parking lot, it went beserk.


need to buy a better one

yeah i had a cheap cobra and it had noo range. it is possible the cops didnt have their radars on but its unlikely

yeah my friend is letting me borrow his cobra xrs 9730 12 band, and just gotta say wow. this radar will pick up cops well over a mile away and although does have false readings they get really easy to tell teh difference between.

I have a valentine one 1.8 with a "blendmount" rearview mirror mount, everything hard wired. I also bought a "full color defense" V1 concealed color display. Total cost for everything was about $550. DEFINATELY worth it (but I drive 100,000 miles + a year, so it's my lifeline!)

I have one of those Cobra 12 bands from another member on here. Only bought it cause it was 20 bucks. I like watching the navigational direction switch on it. I don't speed excessively but it has saved me many times. The range isn't all that great. Probably around 300feet. I would recommend something better if you speed a lot. I just like the comfort of slowing down when the cops are around.
