so, the guy who owns the body shop, i went and gave a visit yesterday. he said it was a genuine honda bumper. i believe him. i am going to check to verify (what do i need to check?) but; the first bumper was mounted. he looked at it when i came to pick it up, and he told me he didnt like the fitment, that i needed to bring it back before school the next day, drop it off, he'd take me to school, and when i got out, my car would be in the parking lot.
which he did. and it looks a lot better.
he claims that the first bumper insurance got was an aftermarket bumper and he didnt like the fitment, so he went and contacted insurance, and they went directly to honda and got a new oem bumper. and he said that the bumper should be legit. its the lip thats the culprit. because he asked me if it had been off the other car for a while, and i told him it had. he told me once something of the sort is mounted, it somewhat self 'molds' to the shape of the bumper for better fitment. and once its unmounted, it loses shape. he said i could mount it, heat it up, and try to improve fitment. it may take a while, but it should fit.
problem is, it's a fiberglass lip.
is this legit?
