When I bought my car, it already had an autostart installed. The guy I bought it from told me when he had it installed, they did a mickey mouse job with it. Usually when I autostart it, the engine turns but it doesn't fully turn on. You could hear it crank but doesn't start fully. Then I would turn it off, and try again, and it always seems to work the second time. Does anyone know what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated!

Could be wiring... could be the engine... could be the ignition switch... could be a lot of things. Sounds like an engine thing, a lot of cars start on the second crank.

I had remote start on my Accord. Sometimes it wouldn't start the first time, but if it didn't it automatically tried again, and it always started the second time.

Also, you should be able to adjust how long it cranks. Look up the instruction manual. Some alarms/remote starts require you to go to a certified installed so they can reprogram it for some of the more advanced features.

This would be so nice to have in winter. Though I don't have a garage so I'm paranoid about leaving my car outside running. Hope you figure out what the problem is.

the most remote starter only crank the engine as long 3 second I don't know if we can adjust the time for crank but I think we can't,that happen with me,I can call bc the engine, the engine need tune up,clean sparkplug or may be change it and clean injector make sure can start the engine only once time,
I use bulldog security, the first time crank doesn't work and the remote starter will try agian until the engine is on.
